OVERVIEW
The AYS Football Committee, USA Football, and AYS are committed to ensuring a positive youth football experience. We provide league-wide benefits for AYS players, parents, and coaches through USA Football’s Heads Up Program. Indianapolis-based USA Football and AYS have been partners since 2011. USA Football is the sport’s national governing body and is the official youth football development partner of the NFL and its 32 teams.
All coaches are prepared to lead their teams in completing a 15-chapter coaching education course on usafootball.com, encompassing how to best teach football fundamentals, communicating with players and player health and safety, including concussion education and management.

AJAA FALL 2023 TACKLE FOOTBALL SEASON
July 15: Tackle Football Evaluations at Cedar Elementary Field at 10:00am.
Late July: Practices begin **Most games will be played on Saturdays, however,
there may be a few on Tuesdays.** Practices will be held at Cedar
Elementary.
Aug. 12: Games begin and will tentatively be played at the Avon Middle
School North
Late Sept./early Oct.: Season ends.

Tackle Football - Jr. Tackle (1st & 2nd Grade): $170 plus equipment rental fees**
Tackle Football - Minors (3rd & 4th Grade): $170 plus equipment rental fees**
Tackle Football - Majors (5th & 6th Grade): $170 plus equipment rental fees**
**For Tackle Football, the athlete has the option to rent a helmet and shoulder pads from AYS for the season (equipment must be returned at the end of the season), or they may choose to provide their own. The rental fee for shoulder pads is $20, and the rental fee for a helmet is $30.

Evaluations for Jr Tackle through Majors divisions will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Cedar Elementary at 10:00am.
AVON YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP

Helmet (can be rented from AYS for $30 for the season and should be selected at the time of registration, or the athlete can provide their own).
Shoulder Pads (can be rented from AYS for $20 for the season and should be selected at the time of registration, or the athlete can provide their own).
